The Best Teeth Whitening Strips For The Sparkling Smile

Teeth whitening with dental lab equipment  is now a popular and quick way to improve your appearance without having to spend thousands. Having bad teeth can immediately give someone you haven't met before the wrong impression of you. You only have a few seconds to create that great first impression so making a good one is important!

There a number of options if your interested in whitening. Most can be put off by what are expensive costs of visiting a cosmetic dentist, but you can buy whitening products and other assistant tools such as dental handpiece  off the shelf and do the treatment at home. In most cases many of the home treatments use similar procedures to that employed by your professional dentist!

What are teeth whitening strips?

Teeth whitening strips are one type of teeth whitening product that has been shown to significantly improve the whiteness of your teeth.

Typically these products include two thin plastic strips that contains a whitening gel on one side. These are placed over your teeth and left for a period of time, usually up to 30 minutes per treatment, this is then repeated for upwards of 2 weeks.

Like the other over-the-counter whitening systems, strips, dental curing light are convenient and easy to use. They also don't involve any messy liquid ingredients. Despite being easy to use, research studies indicate that they whiten your teeth better than some of the other home whitening products, such as whitening toothpastes. They do have some drawbacks, however, including the potential for causing some minimal gum irritation and tooth pain, but this normally only occurs when the strips come into contact with gum tissue. This minor side effect, which can also occur with gel systems used for whitening the teeth, can usually be avoided by carefully placing the strips to prevent them from coming into contact with the gums.

If you're not exactly sure what these strips are and how they work, the system is actually pretty easy to understand. The strips themselves are very thin, essentially invisible, flexible strips of plastic (usually polyethylene) that have been coated on one side with a thin layer of peroxide-based whitening gel. This gel is the ingredient which provides the action. The strips are typically sold in kits which contain multiple pairs of strips. Each pair consists of one strip for your upper teeth and a second strip for your lower teeth. Twice a day, you'll apply a pair of strips onto your teeth and then leave them in place for about 30 minutes. This twice-daily procedure is typically followed for 14 consecutive days. You will probably begin to see some initial whitening of your teeth within a few days after you start applying the strips. The final whitening results the strips achieve will normally last for around four to six months. When your teeth start noticeably reverting to their former color, you can repeat the 14-day process to regain your brighter smile.

And also whatever you decide to choose for a bright white smile, be sure to maintain good brushing habits and maintain a diet that is low in sugar, coffee, and tea, which can help you maintain a bright enamel that you can be proud of for the rest of your life. Cosmetic dentistry is one of the most profitable industries in the United States and you do not want to spend your hard-earned money on something that you could get for free.
